At sunrise, you step into the forest with your guide to begin the search for mountain gorillas. The trail may be steep and muddy, but the reward is extraordinary—standing just meters away from a gorilla family in their natural home. It’s a quiet, powerful moment you’ll never forget. After the trek, you return to the lodge for lunch and a peaceful afternoon of rest.

Golden Monkeys & Ellen DeGeneres Campus

This morning, you head into the forest to track golden monkeys—playful, curious primates. Their quick movements and lively energy make the trek fun and full of surprises. Afterward, you visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you learn about Rwanda’s efforts to protect mountain gorillas.
