Journey to Lake Mburo National Park and Evening Game Drive
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive southwest from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich with wildlife and charm. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and settle into your lodge. Later in the evening, you’ll head out for a game drive as the sun sets. Expect sightings of zebras, impalas, elands, and perhaps a shy leopard if lucky. The park’s peaceful ambiance is the perfect welcome to your safari.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park - Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, embark on the journey to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The route takes you past rolling hills, roadside markets, and traditional homesteads, offering a glimpse into the daily life along the way. As you approach Queen Elizabeth National Park’s southern Ishasha sector, the scenery shifts to vast savannah plains dotted with acacia trees and rich wildlife. This sector is famously known for its tree-climbing lions, and you might even see elephants, buffalo, and antelopes grazing in the open fields as you near the lodge.

Morning and Afternoon Game Drives
You’ll wake up to the sounds of the wild and set out for a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, world-renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. With eyes scanning the branches of giant fig trees, you may also encounter elephants, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, and an array of bird species. While sightings are not guaranteed, the thrill of the search adds to the excitement of the drive. Afterward, you’ll return to the lodge for a hearty lunch and some relaxation.
In the afternoon, you’ll head back into the savannah plains for another game drive. As the golden light of the evening falls over the landscape, you’ll enjoy another chance to spot the famous lions resting in trees or stalking prey on the open plains, along with other wildlife roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Kasenyi Plains
After breakfast, you’ll transfer from Ishasha to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, heading towards the famous Kasenyi plains. This area is well known for its large herds of Uganda kobs, which attract predators like lions and leopards, making it one of the best spots for big-game wildlife viewing. Your guided game drive takes you across open savannah dotted with acacia trees and crater lakes, offering excellent opportunities to spot elephants, buffalo, and a wide variety of birdlife.
In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that links Lake Edward and Lake George. Here, you’ll have close-up encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and countless water birds, while elephants and buffalo often gather along the shoreline. The combination of game drive and boat trip provides a rich and diverse wildlife experience.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Kasenyi Plains
You will embark on the journey to the primate capital of the World. You’ll enjoy a geographical moment at the Equator in Kasese. Through the home of the Rwenzori mountains, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the mountains of the moon ranges with breathtaking landscapes as you enter Kibale.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park
After an early morning breakfast, your driver-guide will drive you to the Kibale National Park office, where you will be briefed about the activity of tracking chimpanzees in the wild. You will then go on a guided primate walk in search of chimpanzees and 12 other primates, including L’Hoest’s, Red colobus, blue, red-tailed monkeys, brown monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys.
The park rangers will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates but on all the forest fauna and flora, and will ensure that your walk is informative and enjoyable.
After finding the chimps, you will spend 1 hour with them before heading back to the park offices.
You will go back to the lodge for lunch & refreshment. After lunch, you will visit the community and take a walk in Bigodi Swamp, which is the home of the great blue Turaco bird. The swamp is home to around 200 bird species and 8 primate species. Later, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you’ll set off for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, renowned for its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife. Upon arrival, you will visit the iconic Top of the Falls, where the mighty Nile squeezes through a narrow 7- meter gorge and plunges into a thunderous cascade, creating a breathtaking spectacle of power and beauty. You’ll arrive at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drive and Boat Trip
Early morning, your guide will take you for a wildlife safari game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. Here, you will spot elephants, lions, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena, and if you are lucky, the leopard.
You will return to your lodge for breakfast, rest, and have lunch before heading out for the afternoon boat cruise. The boat cruise takes you upstream on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls, stopping just a few meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. While on the boat cruise, you will have a chance to marvel at the hippos floating in the water, crocodiles, as well as elephants, waterbuck, Uganda Kob, and many other animals over this 19 km stretch of the Nile.
For bird-watching enthusiasts, there are many chances of seeing bird species like the Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, Brown pelican, red-throated bee-eater, various kingfishers, fish eagles, cormorant, and the rare shoebill stork.

Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, you’ll begin your drive back to Entebbe. Along the way, make a stop at Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will enjoy a unique walking safari as you observe these magnificent animals up close and learn about ongoing conservation efforts.
After the tracking experience, you’ll have lunch en route before continuing your journey to Entebbe. You will arrive in the evening.
