Journey to Lake Mburo National Park and Evening Game Drive

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive southwest from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich with wildlife and charm. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and settle into your lodge. Later in the evening, you’ll head out for a game drive as the sun sets. Expect sightings of zebras, impalas, elands, and perhaps a shy leopard if lucky. The park’s peaceful ambiance is the perfect welcome to your safari.

Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

You’ll wake up to the sounds of the wild and set off on a morning game drive when animals are most active. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast before continuing your journey to the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi, known for its dramatic terraced hills and dotted islands. You’ll arrive in the afternoon and relax by the lakeside, soaking in the cool, fresh breeze and the calm of one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes.

Boat Ride and Transfer to Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a tranquil boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. You’ll glide past the iconic islands, each with its own story, and take in the magnificent scenery. After your lake excursion, you’ll begin the drive northward to the remote Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. You’ll settle in for the night, surrounded by the wilderness.

Game Drive and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you’ll venture out on a game drive through the vast open plains of Ishasha in search of the elusive tree-climbing lions lounging in fig trees. While sightings are not guaranteed, the search itself is thrilling. Keep your eyes open for buffalo, elephants, and a variety of antelope species. After the drive, you’ll transfer to the Kasenyi plains in the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time to relax and enjoy your lodge’s stunning views.

Game Drives and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

This day is packed with wildlife encounters. You’ll begin with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains, a prime location to spot lions on the hunt, herds of Uganda kob, and elephants. In the afternoon, you’ll take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. You’ll witness one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa, crocodiles sunbathing on the banks, and a plethora of birds, including kingfishers and African fish eagles.

Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a relaxed morning before beginning your return journey to Entebbe. Reflect on your unforgettable safari experience, passing through the beautiful countryside and arriving with memories to last a lifetime.
