This 5-day trip is full of adventure and beauty. You start in Kigali, Rwanda’s clean and friendly capital, with a short city tour. Then you drive to Uganda to visit Bwindi Forest, home of the mountain gorillas. After your gorilla trek and a visit with the Batwa people, you head to Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful place with islands and birds. A sunset boat ride ends your trip before you return to Kigali for your flight.

Arrive in Kigali & City Tour
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your guide will welcome you and drive you into the city. Kigali is Rwanda’s clean, green, and friendly capital. After settling in, you’ll enjoy a relaxed city tour, visiting key sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial and peaceful local neighbourhoods. It’s a calm and thoughtful way to begin your journey. In the evening, you’ll be taken to your hotel for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Drive to Bwindi, Uganda
After breakfast, your guide will drive you southwest toward the Uganda border. The journey takes you through beautiful green hills, tea plantations, and small villages. After crossing into Uganda, you continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest—a lush, mountainous area known for its rare mountain gorillas. You’ll arrive in the afternoon and settle into your lodge near the gorilla trekking starting point, surrounded by misty forest and birdsong.

Gorilla Trek & Batwa Visit
Early in the morning, you set off into the forest with a trained guide to track the mountain gorillas. The walk can be steep and muddy, but the moment you find them—watching quietly as they eat, play, or rest—is truly unforgettable. After the trek, you return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, you visit the Batwa community, one of Uganda’s oldest forest-dwelling groups. You’ll learn about their music, stories, and traditional way of life—a meaningful cultural experience to end the day.

Drive to Lake Bunyonyi & Sunset Cruise
After breakfast, you leave Bwindi and begin the scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi. The road winds through hills and villages, offering lovely views along the way. Lake Bunyonyi is one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes—peaceful, with many small islands and colourful birds. In the evening, you take a relaxing boat ride to enjoy the sunset, as the sky turns golden over the calm water.

Departure
After breakfast, you will be driven to Kigali International Airport for your flight home. As your journey comes to an end, you carry with you your special memories, new connections, and beautiful photos to look back on. This marks the end of your holiday.
