This gorilla-tracking safari takes you to the wild jungles of Uganda for a chance to see the endangered mountain gorillas. You will embark on a scenic drive to go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will track gorillas through the dense rainforest. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour with them. As part of this 3-day gorilla trip, you will also get to engage with and learn about the local people who live so close to the gorillas.

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Entebbe to the lush landscapes of Bwindi. Along the way, you’ll pause at the famous Equator for photos and a memorable experience. You’ll continue through the rolling hills and vibrant countryside, with lunch enjoyed en route. By evening, you will arrive at your lodge, enjoy a hearty dinner. The promise of adventure awaits the next day.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the big day! Prepare yourself for an encounter with the gentle giants, the rare mountain gorillas. For most people, this is the absolute highlight of their trip. You will go into the forest in groups of not more than 8 in search of mountain gorillas. En route, your guide will point out previous signs of gorilla activity such as dung, nests, and chewed bamboo shoots. Your trek will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes, and bamboo.

Upon finding the gorillas, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them, after which you will be led back to the starting point. In the evening, you will go for a community visit and cultural experience of the local Bakiga and Batwa tribes that live close to Bwindi. You will learn about their lives, history, and traditions.

Transfer to Entebbe

On this day, you have had a wonderful experience and we are ready to bring you to the point where the journey started. Enjoy the final moments of the trip by trying out on different local dishes, and enjoying the life in Uganda like a local by having a market, tea or coffee experience. Relax as you enjoy the ride back to Entebbe.
